We make a real effort to be conscientious of how we run our farm. We’re using this data so you can see some of the realities of a functioning farm and so we can challenge ourselves to reflect month by month on how we could operate even better.

Some of the numbers from the month:

  • Amount of Space Currently Planted: 3260 square feet

  • Pounds of Harvest: 36.52

  • Plants Re-Potted: 188

  • Rain Water Harvested: 225 gallons

  • Harvested Rain Water Used: 320 gallons

  • Compost Made on the Farm: ~2/3 Cubic Yard

  • City Water Used: 361 gallons

  • Biomass (organic waste) Collected (kept out of our landfills)

    • Woodchips: 13 Truck-loads = 195 cubic yards = 48.75 tons

    • Transportation: 18.75 Gallons

    • Other Biomass: 991.5 lbs. (coffee grounds/spent grains/manure/vegetable scraps)

  • Gasoline used by the Farm: On the Farm: 7 Gallons
