Introducing Guillermo (Memo) Cruz, our Summer Intern this year. Memo lives in the neighborhood and is able to bike to the farm each morning for work. We originally met Memo while partnering to build gardens at several local elementary schools with the LEAD Council at Austin High School, a group of students committed to making positive change in their community and neighborhood.
He has since graduated from Austin High School and was hired as our intern in May. We’re glad to have him as part of the farm team and are proud to have another young person from the neighborhood working with us at the farm.
