We hosted students taking Environmental Science at the Energy Institute High School who were able to hop on the METRORail and take a quick walk through the Second Ward neighborhood to La Finca on a beautiful fall morning.
We spent the day exploring the farm and got our hands dirty seeding, thinning the fields, and harvesting our crop of sweet potatoes. We had a great time with the students and are glad they had the opportunity take the quick train ride to join us on the farm. That’s the beauty of farming in the city!
