Me mud\u00e9 en 2010 y recientemente regres\u00e9 en marzo de 2020. Mi hermano ha vivido en el East End durante 8 a\u00f1os y trabaj\u00f3 para Finca Tres Robles en 2016. He estado viniendo a la granja cuando estaba en casa durante las vacaciones. desde que empez\u00f3 a trabajar en la finca. Mi pap\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n es un habitual de la granja. As\u00ed que he estado ligeramente vinculado a la finca y me siento afortunado de tener ahora la oportunidad de trabajar en Finca Tres Robles\u201d.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>\u00bfTen\u00edas experiencia previa?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-left:40px;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"\">\u201cNo ten\u00eda ninguna experiencia previa en cultivo de hortalizas. Mi experiencia es con caballos y he trabajado en esa industria durante los \u00faltimos 13 a\u00f1os. He trabajado en granjas de caballos donde hab\u00eda hortalizas, l\u00e1cteos y ganado. He incursionado un poco en cada uno, pero cada campo es muy especializado y hay mucho que aprender\u201d.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 te atrajo a la agricultura?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-left:40px;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"\">\u201cHay muchas cosas que me atrajeron a la agricultura. Siempre quise aprender a cultivar mis propios alimentos, mejorar mi salud y la de los dem\u00e1s y tener un trabajo en el que est\u00e9 f\u00edsicamente activo. Me encanta estar al aire libre y me encanta conectarme con la gente en esos espacios. Mis razones evolucionan continuamente a medida que aprendo m\u00e1s sobre la agricultura, el sistema alimentario y la salud\u201d.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son algunos de los obst\u00e1culos que ha enfrentado con la agricultura urbana?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-left:40px;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"\">\u201cLas granjas en las que trabaj\u00e9 en el pasado eran m\u00e1s rurales, generalmente rodeadas de espacios abiertos y hermosa naturaleza. Me despertar\u00eda y disfrutar\u00eda de la tranquilidad. La agricultura urbana es diferente. Llego a la finca antes de que salga el sol y ya se oye el zumbido del tren, las sirenas y las f\u00e1bricas. Estamos rodeados de hormig\u00f3n y f\u00e1bricas. Si bien esto ha sido un desaf\u00edo, tambi\u00e9n es inspirador. Estamos cultivando en el medio de la ciudad. Hay garzas nocturnas y ranas arb\u00f3reas de color verde brillante. Puedes oler las flores de los \u00e1rboles de c\u00edtricos. Se siente como un refugio seguro en medio del caos de la ciudad\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:40px;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"\">\u201cComo agricultor principiante que no es due\u00f1o de su propia granja, reconozco que existen obst\u00e1culos m\u00e1s profundos en la agricultura urbana, como pol\u00edticas, falta de apoyo, acceso a la tierra, costos iniciales y tensiones financieras\u201d.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 te motiva a cultivar?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-left:40px;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"\">\u201cLo que me motiva a cultivar es que espero poder influir e impactar la salud de mi comunidad y la tierra. Individualmente, me siento motivado para aprender nuevas habilidades, ser m\u00e1s ingenioso y ser f\u00edsicamente activo\u201d. <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1l dir\u00edas que es el aspecto m\u00e1s desafiante de tu trabajo?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-left:40px;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"\">\u201cAprender las necesidades espec\u00edficas de los diferentes cultivos ha sido un desaf\u00edo. Algo que podr\u00eda beneficiar a un cultivo acabar\u00e1 con otro. Tenemos que prestar atenci\u00f3n constantemente al clima, los insectos, las enfermedades de las plantas y las condiciones del suelo.<strong>&quot;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 significa comunidad para ti?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-left:40px;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"\">\u201cPara m\u00ed, la comunidad es una de las necesidades m\u00e1s importantes del ser humano y de c\u00f3mo funcionamos en este mundo. Necesitamos apoyo, compa\u00f1\u00eda y amor. S\u00e9 por experiencia personal que mi comunidad me ha ayudado en mis momentos m\u00e1s oscuros. Mis familiares, amigos y vecinos han dado un paso al frente cuando lo he necesitado y espero hacer lo mismo por ellos. La comunidad de Finca Tres Robles es \u00fanica. Me siento agradecido de poder cultivar alimentos para mis vecinos. Esta comunidad me conecta con las personas que me rodean y con la tierra\u201d.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son tus cosas favoritas que has cultivado aqu\u00ed hasta ahora?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-left:40px;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"\">\u201c\u00a1Esta es una pregunta dif\u00edcil porque todo est\u00e1 muy bien! Me encantan especialmente las acelgas arco\u00edris.
