She bakes almost daily and has years of experience making breads in the home kitchen. She is super passionate about sourdoughs and excited to share her knowledge. She is also happy to make herself available to participants after class to provide support in making the most mind-blowing breads of their lives.<\/p>\n<p>At Finca Tres Robles, we strive to make our classes accessible to all who wish to participate and provide scholarships to help make that possible. If you've heard it's hard to grow herbs in Houston, you're not listening to the right people! There are challenges to growing herbs in the humid Gulf Coast area, but these challenges can easily be met with the right information.<\/p><p>Herbs can be grown in the ground or in containers, even hanging baskets. We'll talk about soil, fertilizer and how much sun to give your herbs. Learn which herbs to grow in each season and which ones grow all year long.<\/p><p>What would growing herbs be without using them in the kitchen? We'll talk about how to harvest your herbs for maximum health of the plants.<\/p><p>As an added bonus, each participant will be able to plant up a container with 3 herbs of their choosing to take home and enjoy.<\/p><p><strong>Instructor:<\/strong> <em>Cindy Meredith<\/em> is the owner of The Herb Cottage, a rural nursery and herb business near Hallettsville in Lavaca County, Texas. In business since 1998, Cindy has a wide range of knowledge about gardening and herbs.
