NOTAS DE LOS CAMPOS<\/h2>\n

\u00a1Hola familia Finca!<\/p>\n

La primavera est\u00e1 en el aire y con la nueva estaci\u00f3n llegan algunos cambios en la granja. Hace dos semanas nos despedimos de Zay y les deseamos todo lo mejor en su nueva granja en Vermont, donde estoy seguro de que su vida florecer\u00e1. Me gustar\u00eda aprovechar esta oportunidad para presentarme como el miembro m\u00e1s nuevo del equipo de Fince Tres Robles y nuevo administrador de la finca. Me siento incre\u00edblemente honrado de formar parte de esta hermosa comunidad donde ya he sido bienvenido en esta familia amorosa y en constante crecimiento. Soy originario de Houston, pero no comenc\u00e9 mi carrera agr\u00edcola hasta que me mud\u00e9 de Texas. Poco despu\u00e9s de graduarme de la Universidad de Texas en Austin con una licenciatura en Ecolog\u00eda y Evoluci\u00f3n, decid\u00ed buscar una oportunidad en el programa global de salud de la mujer del Baylor College of Medicine en Lilongwe, Malawi. Malawi, un peque\u00f1o pa\u00eds sin salida al mar en el sudeste de \u00c1frica, es donde naci\u00f3 mi pasi\u00f3n por la administraci\u00f3n de la tierra y la salud integrada. Mi trabajo all\u00ed finalmente me llev\u00f3 a cultivar un jard\u00edn comunitario utilizando el terreno de un hospital gubernamental en una parte de la ciudad de muy r\u00e1pido crecimiento. El gobierno de Malawi encarg\u00f3 a nuestro peque\u00f1o hospital atender a la poblaci\u00f3n de 500.000 habitantes que vive en la regi\u00f3n circundante. En Malawi, las mujeres embarazadas est\u00e1n obligadas legalmente a dar a luz en centros de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica que a menudo est\u00e1n lejos de sus hogares y sistemas de apoyo, por lo que nuestro programa se centr\u00f3 en cuidar a estas mujeres mientras permanec\u00edan con nosotros. Todo lo que cultivamos se lo entregamos a las mujeres para alimentarse a s\u00ed mismas y a sus familias. Nuestra granja ten\u00eda aproximadamente 4 acres y conten\u00eda muchos cultivos, \u00e1rboles frutales, gallinas y conejos. Adem\u00e1s del cultivo de alimentos, ofrecemos oportunidades educativas para las mujeres, incluidas clases de cocina, conferencias sobre las se\u00f1ales de advertencia del embarazo, clases de preparaci\u00f3n de leche de soja y talleres sobre conservaci\u00f3n de semillas y plantaci\u00f3n de \u00e1rboles.     Spring is in the air, and with the new season comes some changes on the farm. Two weeks ago we said goodbye to Zay, and we wish them all the best on their new farm in Vermont where I am certain their life will flourish. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the newest member of the Fince Tres Robles team and new farm manager.
